Her practice emphasizes employment law and general litigation matters. Christine M. Weaver focuses much of her attention on employment law concerns affecting employers and employees. Employment law covers a complex network of laws that control how employers must treat employees, former employees, and applicants for employment. State and federal laws concerning employment law include the Washington Law Against Discrimination, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, pregnancy discrimination, Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). We regularly work with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Washington and Idaho Human Rights Commission and represent employees and employers in unemployment compensation appeals.
